Digital Media TMUL 2304

Course description:

This course discusses Images, Text, Interface Design, Audio-Video Resources and Linear Scriptwriting, 3D Resources; Modeling & Animation. It introduces students to the essential elements of screen design, interface design, intelligibility and usability which are core features impacting upon developing digital media resources and the matching of those resources to end users. Also It provides students with the skills to develop a range of digital audio and digital video resources suitable for a wide range of situational contexts within interactive multimedia applications. Also emerging digital media technologies in 3D modeling and animation have resulted in rapid expansion of 3D resources in multimedia, educational and 3D games applications.

Course Aims:

  • This course teaches students how to become effective at creating, accessing, analyzing, and evaluating various digital media through instruction in media production skills and by applying the latest innovations in media literacy theory.
  • Presents the essential skills need to create digital content (including digital slide presentation, photo manipulation, video/audio production, website, blog, and podcast publishing).
  • Give students the ability how to analyze media content and explore how media shape politics, culture, and society.   
  • Enable the students to deal  photographic camera.
  • Enable the students to deal  with images
  • Enable the students to deal  with video

Course outcomes:

  • Giving students the ability to deal with different kinds of photographic cameras.
  • Giving students the ability to identify the aesthetics of the image is a sound technician.
  • Give the student to produce photos press and websites.
  • Giving students the ability to make video
  • Giving students the ability to develop a simple animated film
