Course description:

This course delivers techniques and tools for making Knowledge Management happens in an organization. Thoroughly revised to reflect today's latest tools, technologies, and best practices, this hands-on guide walks students through the development of a state-of-the-art enterprise Knowledge Management Platform that can leverage a company's existing investments in intranets, big data, data warehousing, data mining, groupware, and other technologies.
The lab includes applications on Big Data such as Hadoop application and other libraries built on Hadoop. At the end of the course, the student should be able to extract statistical reports built on heterogeneous big data sources.

Course Aims:

This course aims to enable the student to:
  • Learn the concepts on the implementation of knowledge management in an organization.
  • Learn and apply big data concepts.
  • Practice big data case studies.

Course outcomes:

Upon completion of the course, student should be able to:
  • Aanalyze and implement knowledge management to make sure that every decision is fully. informed as they build intranets, data warehouses and project management investments.
  • Deal with massive amounts of data.
  • Manage big data to extract knowledge out of this data.
