Course description:

This course is designed for students interested in learning about the fundamental issues related to starting and managing technology-based new ventures. The course encourages students to consider how technology-based solutions can solve economic and socially oriented problems. In addition, the course covers all topics related to building a new startup company.

Course Aims:

This course aims to enable the student to:
  • Become an inventing entrepreneur by starting a technology-based company as someone without a business background. 
  • Think about a career that involves technology entrepreneurship, such as working for a start-up, venture capital firm, economic development agency, or technology transfer office.

Course outcomes:

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
  • Work on their own startup-companies.
  • Assist in others’ startups.
  • Think creatively to do the business, marketing and work plans.
