Course description:

The course serves as reinforcing the concepts learned in fixed prosthodontics I, and This part of the course deals with fixed prosthodontics diagnosis, Tissue dilation, Pontics, Impression materials and techniques, Provisional restorations (temporization), Interocclusal record(bite registration), connector and Fixed prosthodontics designs for replacement of missing teeth.

Course Aims:

The course aims to provide students with  knowledge to be able to identify and apply the preliminary steps needed to deal with dental patient.

Course outcomes:

After completing the course, students should be able to describe and discuss:
  • Fixed prosthodontics diagnosis.
  • Tissue dilation.
  • Pontics.
  • Impression materials and techniques.
  • Provisional restorations (temporization).
  • Interocclusal record (bite registration).
  • The connector.
  • Fixed prosthodontics designs for replacement of missing teeth.
  • Metal ceramic restoration.
