Course description:

This is the final clinical course in pediatric dentistry. During the course, the students are required to provide comprehensive dental treatment for children a wide range of dental problems.

Course Aims:

This course aims to improve student’s skills to deal with comprehensive dental treatment for children.

Course outcomes:

After completing this clinical course, the students should be able to: 
  • Perform the clinical procedures commonly rendered to the children. 
  • Restore primary teeth using the different restorative materials.  
  • Properly use the rubber dam for isolation during the dental procedure. 
  • Perform different clinical procedures available for pulp therapy.
  • Know how to apply Space maintainer.
  • Restore premature permanent teeth using the different restorative materials.
  • Know how to apply stainless steel crown.
