Course description:

This course provides the students with detailed knowledge on the treatment planning of different dentofacial discrepancies.

Course Aims:

This course aims to train students and skill them in the analyzing orthodontic study casts and x-rays (panorama and OPG) and interpret them for treatment planning.

Course outcomes:

After completing this course, students should be:
  • Competent to produce and analyze diagnostic casts, photographs, cephalograms and panoramic radiographs necessary for orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Competent to identify pernicious oral habits that may aggravate malocclusion and to prevent their consequences.
  • Competent to design, insert and adjust removable appliances for correction of single teeth and functional appliances for growth modification of jaws.
  • Able to attend:  
    • 6 different Orthodontic Cases treatment planning.
    • Study Cast Analysis.
    • Cephalometric Analysis.
    • Preparation of Treatment Plan.
