Periodontology III - Clinical PDNT 4141

Course description:

This course covers the clinical treatment of different types of periodontal diseases and those related to other dental disciplines. Sub gingival scaling and root planning and treatment of Perio-endo-lesions are trained on patients.

Course Aims:

This course aims to enable students treating patients with different types of periodontal diseases and those with Perio-endo-lesions effectively.

Course outcomes:

At the end of this course, the students should be able to: 
  • Perform comprehensive periodontal diagnosis, discuss prognosis and make treatment plan.
  • Master the motivation and oral hygiene instructions to patients, in addition to the required sub gingival scaling and root planning. 
  • Asses and evaluate the performed periodontal therapy and project the long term result.
