Course description:

The module is an introduction to the basic concepts of e-business and e-commerce, including presentation and discussion of the strategies and technologies involved. It discusses basic concepts of e-commerce, discusses and explains theoretical and practical issues of conducting business over the internet and the Web, and presents methods for evaluating user needs. 

Course Aims:

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
  • Understand e-marketplace, e-catalogues, e-advertising, online auctions, electronic payment system.
  • Recognize supply chain and logistics in e-commerce. 
  • Understand the basic requirements of launching a successful online business.
  • Applying electronic commerce applications in business environment.
  • A practical study of some applications about electronic commerce.

By the successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
