Course description:

A study of the basic foundations and tenets of European Union: Treaties that are the foundation of the Union; the European Parliament; European Commission; the European Court of Justice, other significant institutions; fundamental principles of European Union law, the principles of free movement of persons, capital, and trade.

  • Research international and domestic resources relevant to the topic of the course.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the legal and policy details of European Union Law.
  • Analyze resources to write an essay that is driven by discussion of issues rather than description.
