Physics II Laboratory includes experiments on measurement, electricity, magnetism and light.
Course Aims:
The aims of this course are to explore the following points:
Identifying the main components of electrical and magnetic circuit.
Teaching the students how to operate basic electrical measuring instruments such as ammeter and voltmeter, to use an analog multimeter, a digital multimeter, and an ohmmeter.
Assessing the precision of each of these measuring instruments.
Setting up a simple oneloop DC circuit and measure some of its characteristics.
Course outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, the student should have:
Demonstration of a working knowledge of laboratory skills as they relate to designing, conducting experiments, gathering data as well as analyzing and interpreting data and comparing results to the predictions of theoretical models.
The ability to apply experimental principles and error calculations to electromagnetism.
Demonstration of an effective written communication skills/ability by reporting and in written language the experimental data, results, and assessment of reliability.
Demonstration of teamwork skills and ability through laboratory experiment.
