Course description:

The course covers the areas of grammar necessary for the students of multimedia and information technology sciences. This includes topics such as reading/writing/listening comprehension, summarizing, report writing, along with elements of grammar and vocabulary. Technical English helps multimedia students’ understand technical concepts underlying current and future developments in information technology. There will be a special emphasis on networks and distributed computing, computer maintenance, CPU, OS, the basic structure of computer and etc.

Course Aims:

The course aims to:
• Learn the principle of technical writing 
• Know the steps to write a technical papers 
• Know how to apply for jobs and have a successful job interview
• Know how to give oral presentation
• Learn the skills to communicate with formal and informal person

The end of this course student able to:
Read and understand the Internet and Computer Science -related materials.
Engage in profound conversations and discussions about computer hardware and software and the Internet.
 Revise and present information about the functional use of computers.
Acquire the specialized vocabulary and terms used in the field of Computer Science and the Internet.
 Use general and specialized dictionaries ,journals , and reference books 
Complete charts, diagrams, and tables.
Use charts, diagrams, and tables as a source of information on which students can reflect both orally and in writing.
