Course description:

This course prepares the nursing students to coordinate and manage client care in diverse health care settings. Emphasis is placed on key organizational structures and operation of healthcare. In addition to leadership, management functions and related skills, as planning, organizing, staffing, collaboration, delegation, coordination, and working in a team, recruitment procedures, and concepts of change organizational, and time management.

Course Aims:

The goal of this course to provide students with the concept of leadership and management perspectives, leadership styles, management functions, planning, organizing, staffing, directing, controlling, delegation, team work, change process in the health organizational time management.

Course outcomes:

At the end of this course the student will be:
  • The student can understand all leadership and management concepts.
  • Understanding staffing and scheduling techniques.
  • Understand types of leadership styles and management functions. 
  • Knowing principles of planning and organizing.
