Course description:

This course focuses on the nature of the management process that explored through appropriate concepts as the major management four functions; planning, organizing, leading, and control. Also this course reviews the major developments in management thought through review the evolution of management historical background and the contribution of the late scholars, furthermore present models related to the study of organizational model, decision making approaches, organizational structure, and managers’ functions.

Course Aims:

Course seeks to enable students to achieve the following objectives:
  • Be prepared for further study in the area of management. 
  • Identify the appropriate management techniques for managing contemporary organizations. 
  • Understanding the concept of management by objectives (MBO), and develop modeling skills such as decision making.
  • Understanding the nature of management as an art and a science, and recognize the development of management thought.
  • Describe management functions such as planning, organizing, leading, & control.
  • Describe roles of  managers and resources they use.
