Course description:

This course is designed to study the general principles of business law. In terms of its inception and development. As well as the study of the trader and the conditions to be met, the civil business, the store and its components, trading books, types and terms, and the argument in the proof, and the record business, commercial paper, types and conditions. The course also discusses the general types of businesses, as well as commercial contracts.

Course Aims:

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
  • To know the student the development of business law.
  • To know the student's scope of application of trade law through the theories of business law.
  • Student to study business and types in business law.
  • To study the conditions for acquiring student status and obligations of business men and types of businesses.
  • To apply the general principles and provisions of the Trade Act of selected commercial contracts such as transportation and commercial mortgage and agency.

Course outcomes:

By the successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  • Understanding the basic concepts and principles in most of the issues related to trade legislation in the Palestinian legal system. 
  • Gaining the basic principles of the legislation and its applications Palestinian commercial law. 
  • Comprehending the issues related to trade legislation and that have economic and social dimensions beyond the legal dimension. 
  • Know the local institutions and relevant international trade legislation and review their legal systems and procedures. 
  • Understanding the application of theoretical knowledge to practical.
  • Diagnosis and analysis of the facts and conduct physical and legal. 
  • Search trade legislation to extract legal rules and to find solutions to problems. 
  • Use of sources of legal knowledge of paper and electronic benefit in multiple ways. 
  • Having the knowledge of formulation and preparation of some of the contracts, memos and legal documents and setting the procedure for registration of traders and trading books.
