Course description:

This course focuses on the important aspects and development of the Palestinian Economy (P.E.) during several decades, with concentration on the era of the Palestinian Authority (P.A.).
The course review the economic resources in Palestine, employee markets, unemployment, national accounts, economic growth, beside the different sectors in P.E. and its share in the national income.
Also there some topics in public finance, revenue and expenditure in the general budget, foreign trade, payment balance, and the obstacles against development in Palestine.

Course Aims:

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
  • Connect what they studied in the previous economic courses and the P.E.
  • Recognizing the different aspects of the P.E.
  • Explain different economic plans.
  • Recognizing Palestinian economic resources and ways of exploiting it.
  • Recognizing the importance of the Palestinian Human resources.
  • Understanding the national accounts and economic growth in Palestine.
  • Explain Palestinian foreign economic relations.

Course outcomes:

By the successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  • Understand different indicators about P.E.
  • Understand different experience about economic plans in Palestine.
