This course is a continouation for oral pathology 1 and it provides the students with detailed knowledge on the diagnosis and treatment of different dental and systemic pathologies.
Course Aims:
The course aims to provide the students in the management protocols of dental and systemic abnormalities and methods of diagnosis and treatment.
Course outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
Develop a systematic approach to evaluating lesions of the oral cavity.
Describe the more common oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
Recognize clinical patterns of intraoral premalignant lesions and squamous cell carcinoma.
Differentiate between cold sores and canker sores and use contemporary methods to manage.
Recognize and manage erosive lichen planus, erythema multiforme, pemphigus, and pemphigoid.
Develop a differential diagnosis for radiolucent and radiopaque lesions.
