Course description:
This course of Endodontic I refocuses on the structure and physiology of dentino-pulpal complex and peri-radicular tissues. It cover diagnostic materials and devices ,endodontic instruments which include hand instruments for cleaning and shaping the root canal space, devices for measuring root canal length ,instruments for root canal obturation devices for removing root canal obstruction, Isolation, materials for disinfecting the pulp space, root canal filling materials endodontic delivery systems for root canal obturation materials. It describe components of the root canal system, root canal anatomy of the apical root and it demonstrate objectives and guidelines for access cavity preparation, mechanical phases of access cavity preparation and different technique of length determination. It high light on technical and clinical issues of cleaning and shaping canal including biological and mechanical objective, it focuses on concept and strategies. It demonstrates theoretically the preparation and cleaning techniques. It emphasizes on importance of effective sealing, the root length of obturation, preparation for obturation, the ideal root canal filling, types of sealers and core materials and method of obturation with attention to the coronal seal importance.
